The Bride and Groom Well, it all started in 1992 at Washington High School in the Memorial Grove when Mark asked Lisa to be his date for the Senior Ball. We had been practicing together for a play, "Four Little Words," for a couple of months by then. We went to the Senior Ball together, and something bloomed. Just ask Merrie, one of the friends we shared the limo and the evening with. We were going along great for a long time, attending 2 more proms together, and then Lisa left for Chico. Our stops included the former homes of Nabil, Merrie, Brady, Mark's mom, Lisa's parents' current home, and " the exact spot where it all began," Washington High School's Memorial Grove. There, Mark took out a ring box, handed it to me, and asked me to marry him. I was in complete shock, and couldn't even believe it was real. After asking if he was joking, I said an emphatic, "yes, of course!" So, we went straight to Lisa's parents' house to tell them the big news, and called Mark's family. And the wedding planning began |
